I am going to share something so powerful with you that it will BLOW YOUR MIND! If used properly it is a tool that will help you shape yourself into the best you!
Have your attention? GOOD…
Below is a diagram of logical levels created by Robert Dilts as well as a video that explains how the model works which will give you a better understanding of what I’m about to explain.
Logical levels explained:
Good all caught up? I know it can seem a little confusing at first but it’s necessary to understand how you think/behave before you can start controlling your own destiny.
I am going to discuss Beliefs today,
Now it doesn’t say anywhere that what you believe IS true it’s just saying YOU believe it’s true. So how do you come to have beliefs?
Well your mind is always asking “What does this mean?” It wants to understand things better and to do that it must be able to connect the dots so to speak until a picture begins to form.
Now have you ever thought that somebody had done you wrong in some way and you couldn’t stop replaying the event over and over? Each time you would get more and more upset with that person only to find out they were never actually involved? It was hard to pull back and absolve them of their “misdeeds” even though they hadn’t actually done anything wrong wasn’t it? That was your mind quickly connecting dots and creating beliefs!
Collecting Evidence:
For every “belief” you have you have also built evidence that supports that belief. The first thing you should ask yourself is…Does my belief benefit me in a mostly positive way? And if it does GREAT! But if it doesn’t its worth challenging. Pretend you are a scientist who is separating fact from hypothesis. Take your evidence and heavily dissect it and what you’re likely to find is that a lot of what you considered HARD FACTS are actually closer to assumptions…This is the first step in belief change. I challenge you to ask yourself if you have any beliefs that you wish were different and then dissect the “evidence” to find fact from fiction in your own life. This is something I strive to implement with my Act NOW Fitness clients and most definitely a reason why I stand out from the crowd. If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

I find the information with thin the collecting evidence section interesting. The idea of challenging substanciating evidence to your own beliefs can be challenging. Considering the fact people live and die by what they believe in.
